It's not cheap, but the food is good. It's a cafe style so you order at the front but they bring food to your table. Service was fast, heard the homemade ginger ale is amazing. I really enjoyed the thin Margherita pizza, and the fish sandwich was delicious. Patio is cozy, and I would have been comfortable sitting inside as well, I liked their high booths by the bar. The place was really clean and people who work there are friendly. There's nothing bad to say, I'd eat there again.

My first-time here. I will definitely be back. It's around 6:30 on a Friday evening and the place is packed, and for good reason Food, service and vibe are all on point. I started with the chicken chili and finished with their veggies burger. Both were excellent. Highly recommend

First time today and I will be regular going forward. The egg sandwich somehow blew my mind. For such a humble item, they turned it into what tasted like a gourmet sandwich. The bread had this amazing crunchy layer just right on the inside, the eggs and cheese were perfectly done, and the avocado was a great touch. Service was quick and friendly. Presentation was surprisingly elegant for a simple breakfast sandwich. Another thing that sets it apart is the coffee shop-level coffee. So many diners have nasty coffee but not here! Single origin with free refills available. I’m hooked.

North Star Cafe is a hidden gem! I stopped in and had the most delicious peanut butter cookie—perfectly soft and topped with real peanuts for that extra crunch. I also tried their carrot juice, and to my surprise, it was absolutely amazing! I never thought carrot juice could taste so good, but they’ve mastered it. If you’re looking for a cozy spot with great treats and drinks, I highly recommend North Star Cafe.

We had a great experience at Northstar Cafe, Shaker Heights. The food came out hot, well seasoned and fast. Each burger came out with an equally delicious and fresh side salad and the presentation was very eye catching (including to the food that went out to other tables). It's worth mentioning that the portions reflect the price, which I thought was well spent. The place was practically full, but I noticed all the staff had smiles on their faces and worked together to clean tables efficiently and bring out drinks and food out in a timely manner. The overall restaurant is a great place to hang out with friends and family, with comfortable seating and nice background music for and overall very enjoyable experience.

Always great! Clean, modern, inviting, high quality choices and just a pleasant experience. Even mom who’s hard to please was happy with her fish sandwich. I love their frittata for brunch. Fast and wonderful. Love it!

Great place to grab a quick and delicious bite to eat after Bible study on Wednesday nights. The burger was great and the fries were good too. The staff was still just as kind near closing as they would be at opening and I appreciate that. Most servers have attitudes toward the end of the night so thank you Northstar for being courteous at all hours of operation.
